Effect: The performer displays a small box and asks a spectator to place their finger ring inside. He closes the lid and places the box on the table. A mysterious ruby-red star is shown hanging on a string. As the magician holds the ring above the box, it suddenly explodes into fragments! Hanging from the string is the spectator's borrowed ring! Of course, when the box is opened there's nothing inside.
